23 weeks!!!

 

 

 

 

 

How Far Along? 23 weeks!

Size? The size of a large mango, ear of corn. 11.5 in long  and 1.2-1.5 pounds!!!.

Baby Development?  She is rocking out in my belly to my breath sounds, tummy rumbles, my voice, david's voice, and Oscar and Andy saying hello (aka barking at the squirrels outside!).  

 

Maternity Clothes? Still can pull off regular jeans with a rubberband (see above) but love my 2 pairs of maternity jeans.  Shirts are definitely getting shorter in the belly area so I wear tanks under most things to make sure the belly doesn't make a sneak appearance!

Weight Gain? 13 lbs. surprisigly no gain this week.  can't believe it with all the Christmas goodies I indulged in!

 

Stretch Marks? so far, nada.  my belly has really been itching lately so I know its growing but hopefully not fast enough to cause stretch marks.  My mom did not get stretch marks on her belly so I'm prayin that she passed that genetic trait on to me!

Gender? Sweet baby girl!  

     

Sleep? I have worked 2 nights shifts this week so my sleep has been way off.  Yesterday I slept from 7am-2pm and fell to sleep with no problem at 9:30pm and slept hard til 8 this morning. Love my bed!  

Movement? Love feeling her kicking around.  She loves to hear David talk to her and kick his hand.  Lately she has been kicking (or punching) straight down which is a very weird feeling.   

Food Cravings? Water, fruit, salad.  Guess my body was telling me to eat some healthy stuff with all the not so healthy Christmas food!  

 

Anything making you queasy or sick? nope!

 

Labor signs? no and hoping it stays this way for a LONG time.

 

Belly button in or out? getting shallow, but still in.  I have always had a really deep belly button and its interesting to see the back of it. 

 

Wedding rings, on or off? still on and loose

 

What I Miss? cocktails during the holidays

 

Symptoms? constant heartburn, itchy tummy, frequent potty breaks.  

 

Happy or Moody? Happy as can be!

 

Nursery: trying to make a decision on a rug and been on the search for a bookcase.   

 

Best Moment of the Week?  taking advantage of major after Christmas sales this past week.  I got Eleanor several really cute outfits for next fall and Christmas!
